A homemade version of the classic Wendy’s Frosty, rich and creamy with a perfect balance of sweet chocolate milk, vanilla, and Cool Whip.

  • Total Time: 3 hours 5 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

300 milliliters condensed milk

8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed

8 cups 1% chocolate milk

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the condensed milk and Cool Whip until fully combined.
  2. Add the chocolate milk and vanilla extract to the mixture and continue whisking until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Cover tightly with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the freezer.
  4. Freeze for 3 hours, stirring once every hour, until the Frosty reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Spoon the homemade Frosty into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, swap Cool Whip for a plant-based whipped topping, use dairy-free chocolate milk, and sweetened condensed coconut milk.
  • For a twist, try using strawberry milk instead of chocolate milk.
  • If you have an ice cream maker, churn the mixture according to the manufacturer’s instructions for a smoother texture.
  • Store leftovers in a freezer-safe container with a tight-fitting lid. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften if it becomes too hard.
