Ingredients
1/2 cup (50 g) chocolate protein powder
1/2 cup (50 g) almond flour or oat flour
1/4 cup (25 g) cocoa powder
A pinch of salt (optional)
1/3 cup (80 g) almond butter or peanut butter
3 to 5 tbsp maple syrup or honey, to taste
4 tbsp chocolate chunks (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine protein powder, almond flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Add almond butter and maple syrup.
- Mix with a spatula or fork until a smooth dough forms, switching to hands if needed. Adjust texture with milk or almond butter if too dry, or more flour/protein powder if too wet.
- Fold in chocolate chunks or other mix-ins if desired.
- Scoop and roll portions of dough into bite-sized balls, dampening hands or dusting with almond flour to prevent sticking.
- Arrange bites on a tray or in a container, then refrigerate for 30–60 minutes until firm.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Notes
- Swap almond butter for cashew or sunflower seed butter for a different flavor.
- Use vanilla protein powder and white chocolate chunks for a twist.
- Add chopped nuts or dried fruit for extra texture.
- Stir in espresso powder for a mocha flavor.
- Coat bites in shredded coconut or cocoa powder for decoration.
