Ingredients
3/4 cup evaporated milk
2 cups whole milk
1 cup white chocolate chips
Red food coloring (2 drops)
Whipped cream (optional)
Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the evaporated milk and whole milk. Heat the mixture until it begins to steam, but do not allow it to boil.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the white chocolate chips. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add red food coloring one drop at a time, stirring until the desired shade of pink is achieved.
- Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream and sprinkles, if desired.
Notes
- If you want a richer chocolate flavor, mix in a tablespoon of cocoa powder.
- For a dairy-free option, substitute with coconut or almond milk.
- Leftover hot chocolate can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated gently.
- If you want to add more flavor, try vanilla or almond extract, or even peppermint or cinnamon.
