Lazy Lasagna is the ultimate weeknight dinner that combines the flavors of traditional lasagna with minimal effort. Made with frozen cheese ravioli, pasta sauce, and cheese, it’s a quick and comforting meal that takes under an hour to prepare.

  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

1 (24oz) bag of frozen cheese ravioli

1 (24oz) jar of pasta sauce (any kind)

2 cups shredded mozzarella (heaping)

1/2 cup shredded parmesan (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. Spread a thin layer of pasta sauce (about 3/4 cup) on the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce (about 12 pieces).
  4. Top with half of the remaining pasta sauce and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers, starting with the remaining ravioli, then topping with the rest of the sauce and mozzarella cheese. If desired, sprinkle with shredded parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. After 30 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese begins to brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve with your favorite sides like veggies, salad, or garlic bread.

Notes

  • For a meat variation, add cooked ground beef, sausage crumbles, or pepperoni.
  • For a vegetarian option, add spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini.
  • Experiment with different sauces like alfredo, pesto, or butternut squash.
  • Using fresh ravioli? Reduce the covered baking time by 5-10 minutes.
  • To store leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • This dish can be frozen before baking and baked from frozen, adding extra time.
  • You can assemble the dish ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before baking.
  • For sides, try garlic bread, salad, or roasted vegetables.
