Ingredients
2 chicken breasts, cooked and diced
1/4 cup honey garlic sauce
1/4 cup buffalo wing sauce or plain hot sauce
2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped and washed
3–6 tablespoons ranch dressing or dressing of choice
1/2 medium red onion, diced
1 large red bell pepper, diced
1/2 large cucumber, diced
Shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the cooked diced chicken with the honey garlic sauce and buffalo wing sauce. Toss until well coated.
- In a separate large bowl, toss the chopped romaine with your preferred dressing.
- Divide the dressed lettuce between two large plates or bowls.
- Top with diced red onion, bell pepper, cucumber, shredded cheese (if using), and the honey hot chicken.
- Serve immediately while fresh.
Notes
- For a vegan version, replace chicken with crispy tofu, use vegan dressing, and omit the cheese.
- Try using the salad as a filling for tortilla wraps or hoagie rolls.
- Swap proteins with chicken thighs, tenders, rotisserie chicken, or turkey.
- Adjust heat by changing the amount/type of hot sauce.
- Add extra crunch with croutons, sunflower seeds, or tortilla strips.
- Store ingredients separately for up to 3 days; assemble just before serving.
