Ingredients
For Dalgona Coffee (serves 2):
2 tbsp granulated sugar
2 tbsp instant coffee
2 tbsp cold water
Ice, for serving
Milk, for serving
For Greek Café Frappe (serves 1):
1 heaping tsp instant coffee (preferably Nescafé)
1–1½ oz cold water
1 tsp sugar
Ice
Cold water to top up
Milk to taste
Instructions
- To make Dalgona Coffee: In a medium bowl, combine sugar, instant coffee, and cold water.
- Whisk vigorously by hand for 3–5 minutes or use a hand mixer for 1 minute until stiff peaks form.
- Fill a glass with ice and pour in milk of your choice.
- Spoon the whipped coffee mixture on top. Stir and enjoy.
- To make Greek Café Frappe: In a shaker or jar, add instant coffee, sugar, and 1–1½ oz cold water.
- Shake vigorously for 30–60 seconds until a thick foam forms.
- Pour into a glass filled with ice.
- Top up with cold water and add milk to taste. Stir and enjoy through a straw.
Notes
- Dalgona Mocha: Add 1 tsp cocoa powder before whisking.
- Vanilla Dalgona: Add a few drops of vanilla extract.
- Sugar-Free: Use erythritol or stevia instead of sugar.
- Vegan Friendly: Use almond, soy, or oat milk.
- Greek Frappe with Ice Cream: Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- Extra Strong Frappe: Use less water and more coffee.
- Dalgona foam can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days; re-whip before serving.
- Greek Frappe is best enjoyed immediately; foam can be stored for a few hours.
