These Cinnamon Sugar Blondies are a sweet, soft, and chewy treat with a crackly, sugary top and a rich, buttery base. They are quick to prepare and packed with warm cinnamon flavor.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 16 bars

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup flour

Pinch of salt

5 teaspoons sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar. Stir until well blended.
  3. Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Stir in the flour and a pinch of salt until fully incorporated into the batter.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the batter.
  7. Bake for 22 minutes or until a tester inserted into the center comes out mostly clean, with just a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the blondies to cool before cutting them into 16 bars.

Notes

  • To make them gluten-free, substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
  • If you prefer, you can add chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or toffee bits for an extra indulgent treat.
  • For an extra touch of sweetness, drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.
  • Store the blondies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate them for up to a week.
  • To reheat, place the blondies in the microwave for 15-20 seconds or in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes.
