A creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy cilantro lime sauce made in just 5 minutes—perfect as a dip, dressing, or drizzle for tacos, salads, and more.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

1 cup cilantro, lightly packed

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 small jalapeño pepper, seeds optional

1 garlic clove

Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Place cilantro, sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, jalapeño, garlic, and salt in a small food processor or blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, leaving small flecks of cilantro for texture.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.
  4. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, use vegan mayonnaise and plant-based sour cream.
  • For a lighter option, substitute plain Greek yogurt for sour cream.
  • Add ripe avocado for extra creaminess and flavor.
  • Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3–4 days.
  • Freeze for up to 1 month; thaw before serving.
