This Caramel Apple Cinnamon Roll Lasagna is a decadent layered dessert that combines soft cinnamon rolls, spiced apples, and rich caramel sauce, finished with a drizzle of icing for the ultimate comfort treat.

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

2 cans of cinnamon rolls with accompanying icing

4 large apples (Granny Smith or Golden Delicious), peeled and finely diced

½ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 tablespoon cornstarch

¼ to cup caramel sauce (salted caramel optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a bowl, combine apples, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly coated.
  3. Slice cinnamon rolls into ¼-inch sections and roll out each slice on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Arrange flattened cinnamon roll slices on the bottom of the dish, overlapping slightly, and press down gently.
  5. Spread half of the apple mixture over the rolls and drizzle with 2–3 tablespoons caramel sauce.
  6. Repeat with another layer of cinnamon rolls, the remaining apple mixture, and caramel sauce.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool for at least 30 minutes, then drizzle with the icing from the cinnamon rolls before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use Granny Smith apples for a tart contrast or Golden Delicious for a sweeter balance.
  • Salted caramel adds extra depth of flavor.
  • Add chopped nuts for a crunchy texture.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the microwave for 20–30 seconds or in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
