A perfect combination of bold beef, crispy fries, and creamy cheese wrapped in a toasted flour tortilla. This Beefy Cheesy Fries Burrito is an indulgent treat that’s perfect for sharing or serving on weeknights.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 burritos

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak

1 packet taco seasoning or homemade spice blend

3 cups frozen French fries or fresh-cut fries

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1/2 cup milk

4 large flour tortillas

Optional: sour cream, hot sauce, guacamole, pico de gallo

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the ground beef or steak, seasoning with taco seasoning or a homemade spice blend. Brown until slightly crispy.
  2. Prepare the French fries according to package instructions, or use an oven, air fryer, or deep fryer. Salt them immediately after cooking while still hot.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses with milk, stirring continuously until smooth and creamy.
  4. On each tortilla, layer the cooked beef, prepared fries, and drizzle with the cheese sauce. Add optional toppings such as sour cream, hot sauce, guacamole, or pico de gallo if desired.
  5. Fold the burrito tightly and toast on a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add jalapeños or use pepper jack cheese.
  • For a vegetarian version, swap the beef for black beans and grilled vegetables.
  • Can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 1 month.
  • Reheat by microwaving first, then toasting on a skillet for a crispy finish.
