This Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle combines rich layers of chocolate cheesecake, whipped cream, and crushed Oreo cookies, with the addition of Baileys Irish Cream for a sophisticated twist. Perfect for chocolate lovers and those who enjoy creamy, indulgent desserts.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

16 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon sea salt

¼ cup Baileys Irish Cream

1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled

2 tablespoons Baileys Irish Cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

20 Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and sea salt together until smooth and well-combined. Add ¼ cup of Baileys Irish Cream and continue beating until the mixture is fluffy and creamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until it doubles in volume and begins to thicken. Add 2 tablespoons of Baileys, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  3. Place the Oreo cookies into a gallon-size plastic bag and crush them into small crumbles using a rolling pin.
  4. Transfer the cheesecake mixture into a piping bag and the whipped cream mixture into another piping bag.
  5. Begin layering the trifle: Start with a layer of crushed Oreo cookies, followed by a layer of cheesecake mixture, then a layer of whipped cream mixture. Repeat the process with a second layer of cookie crumbs and cheesecake mixture.
  6. Finish by adding a swirl of whipped cream on top using an open star piping tip (e.g., Tip #1M) and sprinkle with the remaining Oreo crumbles.
  7. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to 1 day before serving.

Notes

  • Non-Alcoholic Version: Replace Baileys Irish Cream with a non-alcoholic Irish cream or omit entirely for a family-friendly treat.
  • Add Fresh Berries: For a burst of color and freshness, layer in some fresh raspberries or strawberries between the creamy layers.
  • Use Different Cookies: Swap out the Oreo cookies for crushed chocolate biscuits or graham crackers for a unique twist.
  • Add More Layers: If you’re feeling extra indulgent, you can add a third layer of whipped cream and cheesecake mixture for a more decadent dessert.
